Basic Application Scope: This instrument is suitable for measuring the medium air permeability range of paper and paperboard within 0–17 μm/(Pa·s). The structural parameters and technical performance comply with the requirements of QB/T 1667-98 "Paper and Paperboard Air Permeability Tester" and GB/T 458-1989 "Method for Determining Air Permeability of Paper and Paperboard (Schopper)" and other relevant standards.

Working Principle:

1. The instrument consists of a container fixed on a support pillar, a paper sample clamping ring, a manometer, etc.

2. The upper part of the container is equipped with an air permeability valve and a water-filling valve with a funnel for injecting water into the container.

3. The bottom of the container is equipped with an overflow valve and an adjustment valve to control the water flow rate.

4. The paper sample clamping ring is fixed on the bracket, and both the clamping ring and the air box have a hole with an area of 10 cm².

5. The air box is located below the paper sample clamping ring and has two connectors, which are connected to the exhaust pipe and the manometer via rubber hoses. The base at the bottom serves as the foundation of the entire instrument, equipped with a level. Rotate the two adjustment bolts to adjust the horizontal position of the instrument.

6. The working principle of this instrument: under specified conditions, the average air flow rate per unit area of paper per unit time and per unit pressure difference.
